Gilbert fieldbook A guide to peptide care

Paying for care · the whole bill

Which price are we talking about?

Start by asking what the quoted amount buys. A medicine price and a complete care bill are different things.

FDA is short for Food and Drug Administration, the federal agency responsible for reviewing medicines.

What the facts say

As of September 26, 2026, branded weight-drug prices differ between list prices, cash offers, discount cards, insurance copays and government programs.

List price means the price published by the medicine’s maker. A copay is your share under an insurance arrangement. Self-pay means paying the price without using insurance. Ask which type the quote uses.

A concrete example, with the limits attached

A medicine pen is an injection device. A monthly fill means one month’s supply. Strength refers to how much medicine the product label says it contains.

As of September 26, 2026, a $199 opening offer for one month of semaglutide (Ozempic) pens appeared on the government price page.

The $199 price applied only to the first two months’ supplies. It applied to new patients who lived in the United States, were at least 18 years old and paid without insurance. Only certain starting strengths were included. The offer’s end date was listed as December 31, 2026.

Check with the pharmacy: does your prescribed strength qualify for the offer? This price example does not tell you which strength to use.

After those first two supplies, the listed price was $349 or $499 for each month’s supply. The price depended on the strength prescribed.

Ask the pharmacy which of those prices applies to your prescription.

This is a medicine offer, not a Gilbert clinic quote. Ask what your prescribed product costs after any introduction, plus the care charges.

Separate the fee from the medicine

A September 26, 2026 check of six large national online-care websites found that membership offers commonly charged extra for medicine.

This was a small check of advertised prices, not bills paid or quotes for Gilbert care. Ask the service you are considering for a written breakdown of its own charges.

  • What does the membership include?
  • Is medicine included, and which product?
  • Are tests and follow-up extra?
  • What amount continues after the first bill?

Keep the end date with the price

As of September 26, 2026, several manufacturer cash offers and savings-card terms ran through December 31, 2026.

An offer’s end date tells you when to check again; it cannot forecast the price that follows. Ask for the current terms before committing.
